Learn to navigate underwater with confidence and precision through the SSI Navigation specialty — an essential program for any diver who wants to improve their autonomy and underwater awareness.
This training will teach you how to plan and follow underwater routes, use a dive compass, estimate distances, and recognize natural reference points to navigate safely in any situation.
You’ll also learn to combine compass and natural navigation techniques, improving your observation skills, orientation, and confidence underwater.
During your training dives in the Cap de Creus Natural Park, you’ll practice real navigation exercises, following patterns that will help you move confidently and return to specific points — including your entry or exit area.
Meeting point: We’ll meet at the Llançà harbor dock at the time selected in your booking.
Following the PRUG (Cap de Creus Natural Park Management Plan), this activity may take place from the shore to ensure environmental conservation.
Minimum age: 10 years (depth limits apply according to age and level)
Minimum certification: Open Water Diver SSI or equivalent
Maximum depth: 30 meters (depending on certification and age)
Completion of the official BOE medical questionnaire before the activity

To earn your SSI Navigation certification, you must:
Complete all theory and practical sessions successfully
Pass the in-person academic exam
Demonstrate control, precision, and confidence in underwater navigation
Upon completion, you’ll receive the SSI Navigation digital certification, internationally recognized.
