General description

Discover how to extend your dives and reduce surface intervals with the Nitrox Diver SSI specialty.

This training teaches you how to use enriched air mixtures with up to 40% oxygen, extending your bottom time, increasing safety, and reducing surface intervals in a simple and controlled way.

During the course, you will learn how to plan dives using enriched air, understand how gas composition affects the human body, and use your dive computer to configure and manage Nitrox mixtures safely.

The program combines online theory with an in-person theoretical session to consolidate the knowledge acquired, always under the supervision of a certified SSI instructor.

Prerequisites

Minimum age: 10 years (with depth limits according to age and level)

Minimum certification: Open Water Diver SSI or equivalent

Active diving insurance (can be arranged directly at the center with SCUBA MEDIC)

Complete the official medical questionnaire before the activity

Online theory completed before the in-person session

Completion requirements

To obtain the Enriched Air Nitrox SSI certification (32% or 40%), the student must:

Successfully complete the online theory and the in-person exam

Understand the concepts of partial pressure and oxygen management

Know how to correctly configure the dive computer for Nitrox mixtures
